History

Sameer Satija, MD, is a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist who has been practicing Electrophysiology in South Florida since 2013.

Dr. Satija grew up in Boca Raton, where his father practiced internal medicine for 25 years, and attended Pine Crest School, graduating as Valedictorian. He then received his undergraduate degree Cum Laude in mathematics from Harvard University. Subsequently, Dr. Satija moved to Atlanta, where he obtained his M.D. from Emory University. After medical school, he stayed in Atlanta for his Internal Medicine residency, and then was selected for Emory’s prestigious fellowship in Clinical Cardiology. Dr. Satija then pursued Cardiac Electrophysiology training under Dr. Jonathan Langberg and Dr. Angel Leon (pioneers in the fields of cardiac arrhythmia ablation and biventricular pacing) for two years, during which time he served as chief fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Dr. Satija’s clinical interests include ablation of supraventricular and ventricular cardiac arrhythmias, as well as implantation and management of pacemakers and defibrillators. He is skilled in implantation of coronary sinus leads for cardiac resynchronization as well as in lead extraction. He is on staff at nine hospitals in Broward County as well as one in Palm Beach County.

Dr. Satija is married and has three young children. Outside of medicine and parenting, his hobbies include reading and travel.
